Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus continues to thrive in his inaugural season in the English Premier League with West Ham United.
The ex-Ajax Amsterdam player netted his third league goal of the season in a 1-1 draw against London rivals Crystal Palace.
Fellow Black Stars player Jordan Ayew completed the entire match just like Kudus, and the draw positioned West Ham ninth and Crystal Palace in 12th in the league standings.
Kudus reclaimed his spot in the West Ham starting lineup after being absent during The Hammers’ 1-0 victory over Topola in Serbia in the Europa League earlier this week due to illness.
However, he made a significant impact by converting Vladimir Coufal’s cross into the net with the ball deflecting off Palace defender Marc Guehi. Kudus’ goal in the 13th minute marked his first with his less dominant right foot in West Ham colors.
Despite the lead, David Moyes’ team couldn’t maintain it, and Odsonne Edouard equalized for Palace in the 53rd minute.”
Kudus initially showcased the distinctive celebration following his stunning scissor kick goal against Brentford, earning him a nomination for the November Goal of the Month Award.
